The Minister of Housing and Local Government, Zuraida Kamaruddin, is now in self-quarantine at home.

PETALING JAYA: The Minister of Housing and Local Government, Zuraida Kamaruddin, tested negative for Covid-19 and is in quarantine for 14 days at home.

His assistant, Nor Hizwan Ahmad, said he first tested negative after getting a klia2 swab when he returned from Sabah on September 26, before heading to Langkawi the next day for an event.

On September 28, he attended the Malaysian Urban Forum in Kuala Lumpur before discovering later that day that the Langkawi event was attended by a Covid-19 patient.

“I took note of the concern of various parties for the health and safety of the minister after her campaign in the Sabah state elections recently,” Hizwan said.

“On the morning of September 29, Zuraida was cleaned again and the result was negative. She is now in self-quarantine at home for 14 days, as advised by the health ministry. “
