PETALING JAYA: YTL Communications has launched new YES Kasi Up prepaid and postpaid plans on its YES 4G network, as well as a unique referral model that offers cash rewards to subscribers and people they refer to the network.

The new YES Kasi Up Prepaid 15 plan, valid for 30 days, is priced at RM15 per month for 10GB.

The telco says this is the lowest priced plan on the market with the most data and the longest validity.

In comparison, similar plans on the market cost at least RM30 per month.

It also launched YES Kasi Up Postpaid 49, with the first six months free with a two-year contract, at RM49 for 100GB per month.

Meanwhile, YES subscribers who successfully refer the network to their friends can earn up to RM50 in cash per referral under YES Kasi Up Refer and Earn.

Plus, your friends earn the equivalent amount.

“YES Kasi Up is not just about saving money, it is also about making money and sharing the fruits of your efforts.

“It is a simple reference model that everyone can understand.

“No special skills, no training, no capital required, just refer YES to friends and family and earn money,” said YTL Communications Managing Director Datuk Yeoh Seok Hong.

YES is the first and only 100% 4G mobile operator in Malaysia and also the first to offer Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service for crystal clear, high definition calls.

The YES 4G network covers 90.1% of the population and has 1.3 million subscribers.

Wing K Lee, CEO of YTL Communications, said that YES Kasi Up was born out of the success of the YTL Foundation’s Learn-From-Home (YTL-LFH) initiative, which was launched in March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic triggered the school closings.

The YTL Foundation developed YTL-LFH, a collaboration with YES and FrogAsia, when a survey it conducted showed that nearly 50% of parents did not have enough data at home to enable e-learning and low-income families could not afford purchase devices for their children when the closure was announced.

A survey conducted by the Ministry of Education a month later showed that nearly 40% of students lacked access to an e-learning device.

‘Stay Safe, Keep Learning’ was the spirit of YTL’s immensely successful Learning from Home initiative.

To date, more than 400,000 SIMs and 100,000 mobile phones have been distributed to students across the country.

“In the same way, YES Kasi Up ensures that no one is left behind in today’s data-driven economy. We will continue to invest in our national network to increase our coverage and serve the nation’s connectivity needs.

“We believe that by providing everyone in the country access to 100% 4G connectivity, the most affordable data plans and a much needed cash boost, we can provide the helping hand they need,” Wing said. For more information, visit www.yes.my or download the MyYes mobile app.
