Xiaomi Malaysia has confirmed that its next phone is the Redmi 9T. This is your new inexpensive device that is expected to be very similar to the Poco M3 with a few minor differences.
The Redmi 9T event will be broadcast live on Friday, January 8 at 8 p.m. You can see it live on the Xiaomi Malaysia Facebook page. From the looks of it, we expect the pre-orders to start very soon and Xiaomi might offer a special pre-order price for pre-customers.
Before launch, the Redmi 9T was leaked online via an early unboxing video. The new inexpensive device appears to come with a four-camera setup and has a large recessed “Redmi” on the back. The 9T looks like a new version of the Poco M3, which was launched in November 2020.
According to the speculated spec sheet, the device is expected to feature a 6.53 ″ Full HD + display, a Snapdragon 662 processor and a large 6,000 mAh battery. In terms of the camera, it is said to feature a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and two 2MP cameras for macro and depth effects. It is also speculated that it will come with up to 6GB of RAM, and it is likely to be priced higher than the Poco M3. Everything will be revealed next Friday.
