KUALA LUMPUR: The World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) will offer its facilities and services as a vaccination center to help the government vaccinate 70 percent of the country’s population.
Its chief executive, Datuk Seri, Dr. Irmohizam Ibrahim, said the decision to provide the ward space was in line with the national vaccination plan scheduled to begin this month.
He said that WTCKL, formerly known as Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) with a capacity of 13,456 square meters comprising five rooms and 19 multipurpose rooms, was enough to assist in the vaccination process.
According to him, WTCKL is a very strategic place to be used as a vaccination center because it offers a wide space with facilities such as parking, different accesses and has a waiting area and vaccination area.
“Our goal is to help reduce the burden on public health facilities and help ensure that the recovery process runs smoothly,” he said today in a statement.
He added that the initiative is also expected to help health centers reduce overall and logistical costs by offering the use of the space at WTCKL as a place to store vaccines, health equipment and medical supplies. – Called
