Manchester United had the goal posts, Marcus Rashford and a late penalty to be thankful for after claiming a 3-2 win over Brighton.
After starting the season with a home loss to Crystal Palace, United traveled to the South Coast with the aim of going off the mark.
An own goal and a moment of individual brilliance from Rashford helped ensure they did just that, but Brighton asked them several questions before conceding a penalty on the last shot of the match.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer kept his faith in center-back pair Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof despite recent criticism. Nemanja Matic, Mason Greenwood and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were restored to the starting lineup.
As for Brighton, Potter changed his entire starting eleven since the Carabao Cup win midweek over Preston, but there was only one change from his last Premier League match, as Adam Lallana replaced the suspended Yves Bissouma. .
TROSSARD IS PUBLISHING EARLY

THE VAR TAKES THE CENTER OF THE STAGE
Brighton had another penalty cry just after the break when Aaron Connolly fell under a challenge from Paul Pogba, but a VAR check successfully overruled it.
The VAR once again showed their good side by correctly ruling out a Rashford goal for offside, but the forward soon had a goal that stuck.
Fernandes took Rashford out with a great deep pass, before the England forward dribbled past Ben White, knocking him down twice and finding a shot to make it 2-1.

Brighton hit the wood again soon after, and Solly March was the one who came close this time. And Trossard hit the bar once more as the Seagulls continued to push for the tie.

De Gea then denied Trossard in injury time, but Brighton finally got the tie they deserved as March headed home.
March then headed off the line at the other end, but Maguire’s header struck Maupay’s arm on its way to the goal, giving United a penalty to death, even after the time whistle. full had initially sounded.
