KIEV, UKRAINE (ANN): A woman has been banned from future flights by an airline after she opened a plane’s emergency exit and got on its wing on August 31.

The mother got on the wing when the plane landed in Kiev, Ukraine, and complained that she was feeling “too hot.” The woman came from Antalya, Turkey, with her husband and two children, according to The Sun on Tuesday, September 1.

An Instagram page (@boryspilchany) dedicated to the Ukrainian city of Boryspil later posted a video of the woman on the wing.

The video showed her re-entering the plane through the emergency exit as airport personnel appeared to be speaking to her from the ground.

A fellow traveler said almost everyone had disembarked from the plane when she got on the wing, the Evening Standard reported.

“He walked most of the way from the queue to the emergency exit row, opened the door, and got out,” the passenger said.

Her two sons had already disembarked when they saw her on the wing as well.

Upon seeing the woman, the pilot called an ambulance, police and border guards. According to the report, the woman had already returned to a safe place inside the plane when they arrived.

Authorities later confirmed that he was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs after taking a test.

Following the incident, Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has blacklisted her and banned her from future flights with them. They highlighted in a statement that she had “illegally opened the emergency exit” of the aircraft.

“The passenger was blacklisted for serious violation of aviation safety rules and behavior on board,” he explained.

The UIA said police and doctors did not get “an adequate response” to the rape, according to the report. He also described her action as “dubious” and accused her of setting a bad “paternal example.”

In addition to banning future flights, the airline has also demanded that the woman be fined an “exceptionally high financial penalty.” – Philippine Daily Inquirer / Asia News Network
