The 59-year-old witness, who will be retiring soon, said Nora Anne’s body was found in a creek 2.27 meters wide and three inches deep, but the police team found no physical evidence within a radius. 100 meters from the body.

Udiasoorian, upon reading his witness statement, testified that there were no fingerprints where the teenager’s body was found on the day of the incident, prompting the police team to collect two soil samples from under the body and surrounding areas for comparison.

The police officer, who joined the D10 unit from July 17, 2017, also testified that nine different types of vehicles were inspected and 55 swab samples were taken for deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) from the vehicles so that the investigating officer of the case will act more.

“All controls and swabs were performed between August 10-17 of last year,” he added.

Udiasoorian said he also inspected Sora House, the two-story villa at The Dusun Resort where Nora Anne and her family had stayed since their arrival on August 3, 2019.

At the scene, he also collected three swabs believed to be sweat samples, three hair samples belonging to Nora Anne, and eight fingerprints from the second floor of the villa on August 7.

Meanwhile, he added that the inspection of the lower floor was carried out by the Technical Assistance Division (D6), the Nilai District Police Headquarters and the Bukit Aman Forensic Division, on August 4 and 6, 2019, respectively.

Nora Anne, 15, disappeared on August 4, the day after she and her family arrived in Malaysia for a two-week vacation at a resort in Pantai, about 60 kilometers south of Kuala Lumpur.

On August 13, 10 days after her disappearance, her body was found near a stream in a ravine, about 2.5 km from the complex where she and her family were staying, after a massive search.

Preliminary surgical reports indicated that the death of the adolescent, who was a person with a disability, had no criminal element and the death of the adolescent was confirmed by gastrointestinal bleeding due to prolonged hunger and stress.
