Will Musa contest a different seat in the Sabah polls?

In a Facebook post, Musa Aman appears to suggest that he will compete at the Sungai Manila headquarters in Libaran.

KOTA KINABALU: A Facebook post by former Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman has sparked speculation about where he could stand in the upcoming state elections.

Musa is the incumbent of Sungai Sibuga’s seat in Sandakan, however, in a post on his Facebook today, he said: “I will return to Sungai Manila.”

Many social media users took it as a sign that Musa, who is Sabah’s longest-serving prime minister, will contest Sungai Manila’s post in Libaran.

Nominations for the Sabah elections will take place on Saturday and the elections will take place on September 26.

Yesterday, it was reported that the chairman of Barisan Nasional, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said that the discussions on the allocation of seats between the component parties of the BN were 95% complete and that the head of Sabah BN, Bung Moktar Radin, together with the allied parties in Perikatan Nasional, would make an announcement today.
