Who is telling the truth in Guan Eng’s entry prank into Sabah?

YOUR OPINION | “The point is that they could not prevent Lim from entering Sabah, that power is not theirs but Sabah CM’s.”

Guan Eng allowed entry to Sabah after a delay at the airport

Guan Eng: I checked with Shafie, MACC lies about blocking my entry from Sabah

Vijay47: My God, MACC Chief Commissioner Azam Baki, things have taken a really bad turn: Former Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has publicly said he was lying when he denied issuing an order to prevent him from entering Sabah.

You have kindly explained that perhaps Sabah Immigration, and of course not MACC, made a mistake. I’m not sure what the mistake was: what the withholding of Lim’s passport by the courts has to do with his entry into Sabah with his identity card like the rest of 33,912,775 Malaysians.

This is neither here nor there, but I have entered Sabah, and Sarawak if you must know, dozens of times using only my IC and have lived to tell the tale. Any order to prohibit someone from entering any of the East Malaysian states must come from the corresponding state, not from Putrajaya. So, How?

Most Malaysians tend to believe Lim’s accusation that there is a concerted effort to charge him with one charge or another; The Penang Tunnel accusations, despite Morse Code eye communication, appear to be a wet trigger, as does their seemingly fading enthusiasm for the 101 negotiated tenders.

For your next act, would you be trying to prevent Penang residents from entering Perak?

Bobby0: Is this something the public doesn’t know yet? All government agencies are apparently compromised. When politicians tell them to jump, they will say how high. It has been going on for countless years.

This is why VIPs and those who are well connected receive special treatment over others. A VIP who broke the motion control order (MCO), a VIP who made seditious statements, a VIP with more than 40 charges was released, a you know who laundered hundreds of millions of ringgit and got released by accepting a payment partial. payment, RM250 million of the bank’s money laundered to buy personal property, the list goes on and on.

Those in government office should also be fired for working hand in hand with the culprits. They have used public facilities to protect the culprits. They have wasted public funds and time to bid for the VIPs.

However, they swear before God to do the right thing, but in the end, they end up carrying out the orders of the devil. The devil is the one who announces his motto – get rich quick, get up fast (get rich quick, get promoted fast) and get all the other luxuries in the shortest time possible. All you have to do is follow their instructions.

As they say, all advice will fall on deaf ears. One day, the nation will pay for the sins of this generation. Children and grandchildren will have to pay the price for the mistakes we make now.

Hawk: With everything in shambles, thanks to Covid-19, they have the audacity to say, despite calling minorities ‘pendatangs’, ridiculing their race, religion, holy books and schools, the selective prosecution of alleged violators of the order of Movement control (MCO), and the list goes on, “the fruits of our efforts to jump start the economy will be shared equally among people regardless of race, religion and social status.”

OMG! Who will believe this?

It is simply amazing what desperate politicians will say or do despite their graceful silence when injustice and disparities rears their ugly heads.

After the pain, sacrifice and sweat before and after independence, the treatment offered was shocking and vulgar. I’m sure I’m not just thinking about this. Our founding fathers must be rolling in their graves for how far and low we’ve come.

RedWolf1406: Lim, please don’t lie. You must give the names of the senior immigration officers who told you to return to the Sabah airport to verify the names of the MACC officers who gave you such instructions.

The Wakandan: @ RedWolf1406, there’s no way Lim was lying. Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) is not a very large airport, and immigration officers on duty can always be checked to see who they were.

The fact is, Lim was asked to return to the airport so that he was presumably denied entry. They could not deny it using the above list, as Chief Minister Shafie Apdal has already canceled it. Most of the big names in the opposition were banned by the former BN government and that was also the case in Sarawak.

The senior immigration officer could only use one other excuse to deny it, and that is that the order came from the MACC.

Essentially, you are now between the MACC and the senior immigration officer in question. Lim doesn’t need to prove anything. The public can complain and the authority should investigate. Is that how it works.

The point is that they could not prevent Lim from entering Sabah, that power is not theirs, but the CM of Sabah. The people of Sabah should take note of the abuse of power perpetrated by Perikatan Nasional (PN). Punish them accordingly in the upcoming state elections on September 26.

Malaysia Bharu: So who is telling the truth? Is it the senior immigration officer who tried to stop Lim from leaving the airport and held him for an hour telling him that the MACC had “put up barriers” to prevent Lim from entering Sabah? Or is it the only MACC chief commissioner, Azam Baki?

Lim must get to the bottom of this, as surely Shafie should know who these henchmen lurking in the shadows are. Are the backdoor apple polishers doing the bidding of the corrupt and damned?

If it is true that the head of MACC had used the Sabah immigration staff to intimidate Lim from entering Sabah, that would amount to usurping the powers vested in the prime minister.

That, in turn, would clearly be an abuse of position and an act equivalent to unleashing personal revenge against someone deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. It is also unsustainable as political elites convicted or accused of corruption have freely entered Sabah in recent times.

This would be a clear case of double standards and targeted victimization and it is only fair and appropriate for Lim to get to the bottom of this alleged abuse of power by those who are the puppets behind this despicable and dishonest act.
