VJ Chitra fans and followers are shocked by his sudden disappearance. The actress who rose to fame with the Tamil soap opera Pandian Stores Led by Siva Sekar, she died by suicide in a hotel room in Chennai’s Nazarathpettai on Wednesday (December 9, 2020).
He got engaged to Hemanth Kumar on August 24 this year in a traditional ceremony held at the GPN Palace in Chennai. Well now, during police questioning, the late actress’s fiancé revealed that the duo got married on October 19, 2020 and that they have been together ever since.
It is said that he presented all the documents relating to his marriage to the police officers concerned. He also added that Chitra seemed disturbed after she returned from filming at 1 a.m. and locked herself in the bathroom to take the extreme step.
Hemanth is a Chennai businessman who appeared with Chitra on the Star Vijay reality show. Gramathu Kondattam, of which she was the hostess. Apparently, he paid a surprise visit to the sets of the show that developed into a grand celebration on stage. Posting some romantic photos of the occasion on her Instagram page, the actress wrote, “Thank you @vijaytelevision for the beautiful memories. It was really unexpected to feel blessed.” In particular, Hemanth Kumar is not active on social media.
On a related note, the 29-year-old actress was a resident of Chennai’s Kottupuram.
