Timo Werner has already opened talks with Inter Milan and Juventus about a possible move to Serie A instead of Liverpool, with whom “there are no real talks,” according to a respected journalist.

The RB Leipzig forward has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield in recent months., where he would join his compatriot Jurgen Klopp as his manager.

With 27 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions, Werner is already enjoying the most prolific season of his career to date, even though it is far from complete.

And reports have suggested that Liverpool wants to add it to its famous attack line, with rumors of a £ 52 million release clause suggesting it would be an addition to the bargain.

However, Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has cast serious doubt on Werner’s chances of becoming Red, despite admitting that he is practically certain to leave Germany.

“I know that Timo Werner will leave RB Leipzig, for sure,” said the Sky Sports reporter said in a Q&A.

“His agents are moving to find a solution for him.

“They are talking to Juventus and Inter Milan, so they want him to change clubs.

“They are probably talking to Liverpool because Liverpool have wanted it for a long time.”

Reports earlier in the week indicated that Inter had joined the race for Werner. While Juventus is in the market for a new number nine, hence his interest in the 24-year-old.

The forward himself had reportedly given the green light to a move to Anfield, but the Reds may decide they don’t need it, leading to a move elsewhere.

Di Marzio added: “I don’t know if he is the right player for Liverpool at the moment because in his forward department they probably don’t need anything.”

Firmino, Salah and Mane!

“Therefore, it is difficult to spend a lot of money for a player who is likely to stay on the bench.

“We will see, but at the moment there is no real agreement with Liverpool and Leipzig for Werner.”
