PETALING JAYA: MCA President Datuk Seri, Dr. Wee Ka Siong, wonders why a shopping mall in Johor advises the public not to use public transportation.
In a Facebook post on Sunday (December 27), Ayer deputy Hitam highlighted the warning from Plaza Angsana management.
He said that public transportation was the mode of transportation for those in groups B40 and M40, adding that not everyone could afford to have a car.
“Since the beginning of the spread of the Covid-19 infection, there has not been a day that public transport such as buses, taxis, trains and electronic calls have stopped during the movement control order (MCO), the conditional MCO and the recovery MCO. ” he said.
Wee added that the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Health have established strict procedures, including taking the temperature of passengers and enforcing the use of masks and disinfectants.
“I hope that Plaza Angsana management will correct the information because it will only confuse the public,” he said.
Should the management of Plaza Angsana JB issue guidelines for the public not to travel in vehicles …
