KOTA KINABALU (October 14): The president of Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan), Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, has emphasized that the fight is far from over for the party.

In a two-minute video posted on his official Facebook page, the former prime minister thanked everyone who voted for Warisan Plus and vowed to continue the party’s fight.

“It has been an inspiration and motivation for us and for the party to boost our efforts and spirit and for our hard work to continue our aspiration to return as your government in the future.

“I hope your trust in us remains as we continue this fight for the good of the Sabahans. This is definitely not the end of our movement.

“We will continue this fight and increase our effort to ensure that we are united to strengthen our fight,” he said.

Since the defeat of Warisan Plus in the recent state elections, Shafie has made no public appearances other than attending the wake of former Batu Sapi deputy, the late Datuk Liew Vui Keong.

“Don’t worry and don’t be afraid to face any obstacles and challenges in life when we fight for the rights of Sabahans and Sabah until we succeed,” added Shafie.

The Senallang Assemblyman also said that being the Chief Minister of Sabah was the greatest honor he has ever received.

“You made me a better man and a better leader. The pain is temporary, but my conviction to instill values and fight for a better nation will never stop, ”he said.
