Karim Benzema launched an extraordinary attack on his Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Junior at halftime of Tuesday’s Champions League draw against Borussia Monchengladbach.
When the Real players gathered in the tunnel before returning to the field at halftime, Benzema was seen talking to Ferland Mendy.
The incident was filmed by Telefoot, with Brand stating that Benzema was telling his teammate in France, Mendy, not to pass Vinicius Junior.
The Real Madrid forward did not mention the Brazilian by name, but Football Spain says that “the body language, the tone of the comments and the way they were said means that it was not necessary.”
Benzema covered his mouth with his hand, while his comments were in the ear of Thibaut Courtois with Vinicius Junior a few meters away.

Benzema told Mendy, according to Brand: “He (Vinicius) does what he wants. Brother, don’t play with him… my God. He’s playing against us. “
Benzema, Mendy and Vinicius were seen talking and gesturing movements on the field before the second half began.
Those comments weren’t picked up by microphones.
Data from the second half in Germany showed Mendy passed the ball to Vinicius three times. Vinicius also returned to the side three times.
No return of Modric to Spurs
Meanwhile, Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric says he is “too old” to follow in Gareth Bale’s footsteps and secure his return to Tottenham.
