Victims of fatal Kajang road accident identified – Police

KUALA LUMPUR, March 8The identities of a married couple who died while their two children were injured in a traffic accident in Jalan Saujana Impian, Kajang, near here, yesterday, have been identified.

The head of Selangor’s Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Supt Azman Shariat, said the two killed in the crash were identified as Remyzan Baharudin, 42, and his wife Suzyla Ahmad Dahlan, 40.

Her children, Raiha Syuhaida Remyzan, 13, and her younger brother Ra’if Adam, 7, suffered head injuries and were treated at Kajang Hospital.

“The autopsy of the two victims will be carried out after obtaining the results of the Covid-19 smear tests at the hospital.

“The victim’s vehicle was taken to the Kajang District Police Headquarters for further investigation, while the case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act of 1987,” he said today in a statement.

Yesterday, the couple died and their two children were injured in an accident involving their Perodua Bezza and a pickup truck at Jalan Saujana Impian.

In the 4 p.m. incident, the car they were traveling in collided head-on with a pickup truck coming from the opposite direction, which is believed to have lost control before colliding with the highway divider and into their path.
