Below are the verified locations that were reportedly impacted today

However, the list does not include locations that have been temporarily closed pending the results of the swab tests of the individuals under investigation.

These places have also been properly disinfected.

Malls

– 1 Utama shopping center, Bandar Utama Damansara

This location was on the list yesterday, but is repeated today after it was revealed that more cases of Covid-19 have been detected.

Previously, it was reported on October 5 that a Mac City Service Center staff had contracted Covid-19 and another on October 8 that it involved a Parkson Elite employee.

However, Petaling District Officer Johary Anuar, who also chairs the district’s disaster management committee, revealed today that there have been two more cases involving an employee and a buyer.

The mall was ordered to close starting tomorrow (October 11) and will be the site of the Covid-19 screening for close contacts on October 14 and 15.

Resorts

– Tropicana Golf Club & Country Resort, Petaling Jaya

The Petaling district disaster management committee confirmed that five cases of Covid-19 have been found at the facility, all related to employees.

The complex was ordered closed as of tomorrow (October 11).

This is to facilitate contact tracing efforts as well as disinfection work.

Places of worship

– Dato ‘Klana Petra Lela Mohd Yusof Mosque, Sikamat, Negeri Sembilan

The mosque was temporarily closed yesterday for sanitation works.

This is after it was discovered that a member of the congregation who attended Friday prayers there on October 2 was found to be Covid-19 positive.

The Mosque’s Acting President Najib Nubhan Khairuddin confirmed the matter with Utusan Malaysia today.

However, the mosque has reopened today.

Residences

– Taman Seri Keramat

This location at Jalan AU2A was previously reported on Oct 8 for a positive case, but is being updated as there has been another confirmed positive case.

Hulu Kelang Assemblyman Saari Sungib confirmed that there was a person who tested positive for Covid-19 in an area other than Jalan AU2A. That individual has since been hospitalized.

Medical Center

– Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Kota Kinabalu

A nurse at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital tested positive, while other members of the intensive care unit medical staff were quarantined, Health Minister Dr Adham Baba confirmed. Malaysiakini.

The nurse is believed to have been infected in the community before returning to work. This is not a hospital dedicated to Covid-19.
