PLACES OF WORSHIP

– Surau Nurul Iman, Simpang Renggam, Johor

The surau management committee received a notice from health authorities yesterday (November 28) to close the facilities for a week until December 12, after it was discovered that a person who tested positive for Covid-19 was a recent visitor.

According to a committee member who declined to be identified, the individual was in the surau for a ceramah.


BUSINESS

– Jesselton Quay Construction Site, Kota Kinabalu

The Ministry of Health announced yesterday a new cluster called Jesselton Cluster, which so far registered a total of 44 cases.

The Sabah State Department of Health said the cases are construction workers at the Jesselton Quay construction site in Kota Kinabalu.

– Sandakan Port

A new group called the Dermaga Cluster in Sandakan, Sabah, has recorded 34 cases as of noon yesterday (November 28), the Health Ministry said.

The Sabah Health Department said 17 of the cases were detected through a screening exercise conducted at the Sandakan port.


PRISONS AND DETENTION CENTERS

– Sibuga Temporary Detention Center, Sabah

The Ministry of Health detected a new cluster called PTS Sibuga Cluster in Sandakan, Sabah.

As of yesterday (November 28), a total of 104 positive cases had been reported in this group.

According to the Sabah Health Department, 99 of the cases were related to the Sibuga Temporary Detention Center.
