EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

– The Jalan Bruas Montessori Children’s House, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur

The administration of this Montessori franchise issued a notice yesterday that a student tested positive for Covid-19.

He said the student, who last arrived at the school on December 23, 2020, had undergone a swab test after the boy’s father was confirmed positive on New Year’s Eve.

A professional disinfection unit then carried out a thorough disinfection and sanitation exercise at the center.


PLACES OF WORSHIP

– Masjid Darul Ehsan Taman Tun Abdul Razak, Ampang, Selangor

A member of the mosque’s congregation tested positive for Covid-19, according to a notice issued today by his secretary.

The mosque management has then decided to temporarily shut down its operations from today until further notice.

They also await further instructions from the Ministry of Health on the incident.


OFFICES

– Tower of Stars, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Star Media Group issued a notice yesterday saying that an employee has been confirmed positive for Covid-19 on January 2, 2021.

It said the employee had been on leave since December 15, 2020 and had been off the premises ever since.

While the risk of infection from the individual was deemed “extremely low,” the company said the building management has initiated additional sanitation activities.

– SetiaWalk, Puchong, Selangor

A tenant at Level 3, Commercial Block C tested positive for Covid-19 on December 30.

The person was last at the facility on December 24 and was recommended that day to get tested for Covid-19 after developing flu-like symptoms.

Other team members in the same office tested negative, but the office is closed because all employees are in home quarantine.

The office and common areas have been disinfected.

– Phileo Damansara 1, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

An employee in Block F tested positive for Covid-19 on December 24, while another in Block E tested positive on December 29.

Management informed landlords and tenants of this in two separate notices last week.

He said he will continue with the daily sanitation.

Malaysiakini previously reported a Covid-19 case in Block B of the same office complex on December 18.


RESIDENCES

– Residencias Urbana, Ara Damansara, Selangor

Two residents tested positive for Covid-19, management said.

They live on level 5 of block C and level 10 of block B and tested positive on January 3 and 2, respectively.

The administration has cleaned up all the common areas.

– Atmosphere Sentral Loft, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur

A Block B resident tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan.3, the administration said in a notice.

Security at the entrance will now be strengthened to stop unnecessary movements while health control at the guard post will be improved, he said.

All common and affected areas will be disinfected, he said.

– Various residential areas in Kulai, Johor

According to the Kulai Health Office, new cases of Covid-19 were detected yesterday in Taman Senai Jaya, Taman Mewah, Taman Senai Baru, Tiong (Bandarputra), Camar (Bandarputra), Jalan Persiaran Teknologi, Taman Senai Utama and Taman Aman.
