GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS
– Penang Island City Hall, Komtar Building, Penang
A member of the council staff attached to the Treasury Department tested positive for Covid-19 on December 9.
He was last in the Treasury Department on December 4 and worked from home since December 7 after one of his children tested positive for Covid-19.
Disinfection was carried out in the Treasury Department on Level 15 of Komtar and in other haunted places in the building, including the surau, counters, and bathrooms.
The Treasury Department is closed until December 13, it said in a statement.
Ten of the other 15 staff members identified as close contacts of the patient have been screened for Covid-19, while the rest will soon.
The public is encouraged to use the council’s online services to limit physical contact.
OFFICES
– Bangsar Pearl Tower, Kuala Lumpur
A staff member from an office on lower ground tested positive for Covid-19.
Disinfection of potential contaminated areas is underway, the administration said in an advisory yesterday.
Landlords and tenants are advised not to visit the management office and conduct all transactions online or over the phone.
RESIDENCES
– Symphony Heights Condominium, Batu Caves, Selangor
A tenant in Block E tested positive, management said in a notice on Dec. 5.
All necessary steps have been taken to ensure minimal risks to other residents, he said.
