BUSINESS

– Suezcap 1 Tower, Kerinchi, Kuala Lumpur

According to a notice issued by the building’s management, one of its tenants in Block E reported that one of its employees had tested positive for Covid-19.

The notice dated Dec. 14 indicated that all other members of the company’s staff had undergone Covid-19 testing and tested negative. However, they were quarantined for 14 days and their office temporarily closed.

The management of the building has also carried out sanitation works in all the elevators and common areas. The tower remains open to the public.


PUBLIC TRANSPORT

– Route LRT Kelana Jaya

Two Rapid Rail employees working at one of the LRT stations along its Kelana Jaya route tested positive for Covid-19 and were sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital, according to a statement issued today by the company.

He said station officials last came to work on December 12 and 13 respectively, but did not have any close contact with customers as they work within a confined area. The company did not reveal which station the two employees were attached to.

All other employees who have been identified as close contacts were ordered to undergo screening tests and a 14-day self-quarantine. Trains and stations are also frequently disinfected.
