YOUR OPINION | “Bersatu should blame Azmin and the gang for the situation they are in now.”
Conversation seat: little room for Bersatu while Umno sets the ground rules
IndigoTrout2522: Umno and PAS formed Muafakat Nasional for the sole purpose of winning the general elections.
Bersatu Prime Minister and President Muhyiddin Yassin should know that his support is weak. Why should Umno, being the largest party with the most deputies, give up the office and power of PM?
Umno will dominate the next government, regardless of what happens to former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak and party chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. There are other high-level leaders in Umno who aspire to the highest positions in the party. This is just common sense.
Muhyiddin was too mad for power and the post of prime minister. It was used by the former leader of the PKR, Azmin Ali, and his team of traitors.
Muhyiddin has disappeared and Bersatu will be disbanded or taken over by Umno. Azmin will have to play his cards again to survive politically.
For those in Bersatu and former PKR MPs who betrayed the mandate given to them in GE14, it serves them well.
Other Comment: It has become clear that for the next general election, Umno-PAS-GPS wants his cake and he eats it too.
The right to challenge under BN or whatever acronym is used, which is called “allocation of seats”, confers money and power on those who make the decision, usually Umno.
Once nominated by BN, even the losers are sure to end up with millions, along with power and prestige.
In this corrupt, manipulated and rampant “Malay democracy”, the gravy train must fill up to feed the hungry sycophants, leeches and parasites.
Bersatu will be a supplicant and beggar in this world of dogs eat dogs. Democracy will wither as usual.
PurpleKoala5651: The results of Slim’s by-elections showed that the Muhyiddin, Bersatu and Azmin cartel is almost finished. His contribution to Slim was almost non-existent.
As for the former Bersatu president, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, his political ambition has come to a sad end and he deserves it.
The leadership of DAP and Amanah must align, strongly and clearly, with PKR and Anwar Ibrahim and without the interference of Mahathir, to confront Umno and PAS.
Perhaps then, people can give Pakatan Harapan a second chance, although on paper it seems quite difficult.
Sayonara MI: Umno surely isn’t giving a face to Bersatu or Muhyiddin. They are trampling on Bersatu.
Basically, Bersatu is nothing. Nobody wants to touch them with a 10 foot pole. Your MPs had better decide if they want to go back to Mahathir and save themselves before they all drown in Azmin’s betrayal.
Bersatu should blame Azmin and the gang for the situation they are in now. Muhyiddin should kick himself every day for hearing it.
In the end, Bersatu and Azmin’s gang are the biggest losers in all of these, and they deserve it all.
Hare: I feel like Umno has the right to claim all the seats that they won in 2018 because those candidates won as Umno candidates. Otherwise they would not have won.
And this condition to contest all the seats they won in 2018 would also eliminate the future frog activities of their party: the Umno MPs will think twice before jumping in the future.
ColorAnimalNumber: Muhyiddin said that Bersatu must leave Harapan to survive. How the hell was that considered to survive?
When Bersatu was in Harapan, they were treated like an older brother. If they had stayed in Harapan, they could compete for at least 35 seats. What about now? I hope the back stab was worth it.
IndigoToucan1627: @ColorAnimal, I think when Muhyiddin and Azmin decided to strike, the immediate gratification was preventing Anwar from becoming PM. That for them was extremely urgent.
Now that everything is done and dusted, they have to think about their long-term survival, which will not be easy.
The number one priority for Umno is that they take charge. For now, Muhyiddin is in charge, and the longer he’s in charge, the more uncomfortable Umno will be.
The PM position is getting hotter for Muhyiddin. Good luck to him. Now he and Azmin are reaping what they sowed.
And Justice for all: The only reason Bersatu survived in Harapan was due to the concessions made by PKR, DAP and Amanah for them. Even the PM seat, his allies stepped aside and handed over the post.
People were being nice to them, but it went to their heads. They thought they were successful in their own right. Now they know the truth.
Just a Malay: In fact, in Harapan, although Bersatu had only a few seats, he was treated well.
They have the position of PM and as many ministers as PKR. They also held key positions such as the Ministry of the Interior. Azmin received an important portfolio.
Now in Perikatan Nasional (PN), they are treated like used toilet paper. I can only say “match faces” (serves you right).
Vent: That said, before we gloat over Bersatu’s impending demise, we should be equally groaning under the weight of BN’s impending rebirth.
Either way, it is we who will suffer.
