Two high school students in Port Klang are receiving treatment at Sungai Buloh Hospital.

SHAH ALAM: Two students from a high school in Pandamaran Jaya, Port Klang, were found to be infected with Covid-19, said Selangor Health Director Dr. Sha’ari Ngadiman.

The students were suspected of being infected by their older brother, who had a history of visiting Sabah recently. They are being treated at Sungai Buloh Hospital.

Selangor’s education director Izmi Ismail said the school was running its school session normally today, but the two students’ classrooms had been thoroughly disinfected before being used.

Any further action such as closing the school, if necessary, would be based on directive from the district health office, he said.

In Johor Bahru, a Covid-19 case was confirmed in the business section of the Permas Jaya CIMB branch.

The bank group said the building had undergone thorough disinfection and cleaning.

The infected staff worked on a different floor than the bank branch. “None of the bank branch employees have been in contact with the commercial bank employee,” CIMB said.

Johor Health Director Dr Aman Rabu confirmed that the cleanup was carried out by CIMB on its own initiative and that subsequent control measures also involved bank staff.
