PETALING JAYA: A sixth-year university in Melaka and an elementary school in Terengganu were temporarily closed due to Covid-19 infections, while in Pahang, a student of the PMS test was confirmed to have tested positive.
The Tun Fatimah Form Six College in Durian Daun, Melaka, was closed for a week after a teacher tested positive, Bernama reported.
Melaka State Executive Councilor Noor Effandi Ahmad said: “We understand that the teacher was asymptomatic and those in close contact with the individual have been told to undergo screening.”
Teachers and students who had close contact with the teacher were ordered to self-quarantine.
In Kuala Terengganu, eight cases of Covid-19 were reported at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sultan Sulaiman 1, which has been ordered to shut down for 14 days from today.
In Kuala Lipis, an SPM exam candidate at Mara University was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday and all 144 students quarantined.
