The Sabah government has not decided to allow two people from one household to travel together during the movement control order (MCO).

Sabah’s Prime Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal (Photo) said the latest federal government ruling would need to be studied and discussed at the Sabah Covid-19 command center before it could be implemented at the state level.

“We need to study its impact first. If it can be implemented without adverse effects, we will,” he told reporters after receiving a visit from a team of Chinese medical specialists in Kota Kinabalu.

Mohd Shafie said that, for now, two people traveling in a vehicle will only be allowed for specific purposes.

Chief Minister (security group) Ismail Sabri Yaakob today announced some relaxed measures by the federal government in the fourth phase of the MCO, including allowing two family members to travel in a vehicle for essential purposes, such as buying food and groceries. – Bernama
