Two more arrested for fight at Low Yat Plaza

44 people have been arrested after a fight outside the Low Yat Plaza continued inside the mall.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police arrested two more suspects who were involved in a fight in front of Low Yat Plaza in Bukit Bintang yesterday, bringing the total number of arrests to 44 people.

Dang Wangi District Police Chief Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said the two suspects were arrested today at 1 a.m. after turning themselves in to the police.

“In total, the police arrested 41 men and three women. They were made up of shop owners, employees, and members of the public, ranging in age from 20 to 35.

“The 44 suspects are now in custody for three days for further investigation.

On Saturday, police received a call from the public about a fight sparked by a dispute over customers in the Plaza, which is home to stores that sell computers and laptops.

Several video clips had appeared on social media, showing a group of men fighting in front of the plaza, which then continued on the premises.
