According to the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department, two people who received the go-ahead for Covid-19 tested positive again.

They are a 52 year old man from Brazil and a 25 year old man from the United Kingdom.

Both tested positive after completing their 14-day quarantine.

They are now being treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.

The couple contracted the virus for the first time after visiting the Buddha Bar, which became a Covid-19 access point in Ho Chi Minh City with 19 people connected to the site of the disease.

These latest cases of relapse have not yet been included in the official figures published by the National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19.

Of the seven cases treated in Ho Chi Minh City, six of them are people who tested positive again after receiving prior authorization.

Due to the increase in relapse cases, the City Health Department will intensify testing of patients once they have recovered. They will now be evaluated every day for 30 days.

The total number of new cases in Vietnam has remained at 270 since April 24 and there have been no new infections in the community since April 16 – Vietnam News / ANN
