Truth revealed behind claims Liverpool could lose key duo, sign Mbappé

Liverpool are not worried about the future of Mohamed Salah or Jurgen Klopp, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed.

Questions have been raised this season about Klopp’s future as a coach amid Liverpool’s struggles to defend their title. It is unlikely that he will be fired, but the availability of the position in Germany has sparked new rumors. As for Salah, his ties to Real Madrid are persistent.

Salah has been one of Liverpool’s best players since arriving from Roma in 2017. The Egyptian international has scored more than 100 goals for the club.

His form, however, has seen him regularly linked to an exit from Liverpool. He definitely has the ability to play for a European giant like Real Madrid.

No matter how successful Liverpool have been since their arrival, those ties to other clubs will seemingly never fade. Even La Liga president Javier Tebas has admitted that he would like to see Salah in the Spanish top flight. – although that may be unlikely this summer.

If Salah left, it could make room for Liverpool to pursue their long-term target, Kylian Mbappé. One of the best players in the world, the Frenchman’s future at PSG is in doubt.

Liverpool would be a potential destination, although they would have to break the bank to sign him. What’s more, they were recently told that their preference would be, coincidentally, join Madrid instead.

But the dream of signing Mbappé will not fade for Liverpool either, especially when his contract only has one year left.

However, Romano has now quashed those rumors by revealing that Mbappé could still extend his contract with PSG. Furthermore, the chances of Salah leaving Liverpool are slim.

Romano wrote for Bench heaters: “Kylian Mbappé has not started negotiations with Liverpool so far despite the rumors.

“To date, the priority is to negotiate with Paris Saint-Germain the renewal of the contract; Only then will his future be decided with PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi, who is doing everything possible to convince Kylian. He wants more than 25 million euros per season after taxes.

“Liverpool, on the other hand, are convinced that they can keep Mohamed Salah. Soon they will also have to talk about the fact that their contract expires in June 2023 but there is no problem with the club ”.

Klopp’s future is also secure

Meanwhile, Romano confirmed that coach Klopp is likely to stay at Liverpool.

Klopp quickly dropped out of the race to replace Joachim Low as Germany coach when the World Cup winner recently announced his imminent departure.

Staying under contract until 2024, it looks like Klopp will stick around.

Romano added: “Speaking of Liverpool, the board is planning the transfer market with Jurgen Klopp and is not afraid of a possibility linked to the German national team.

“There have been no contacts; the desire to make him heir to Joachim Low has not yet developed. “
