MUAR: The Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Center (TMIYC) will be the birthplace of future leaders who are honest, responsible and compassionate, says Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.

His Majesty added that it is also his wish to bring development to all Johoreans, especially the young.

“I will continue to work hard to develop the youth center in order to strengthen the youth community to form role models who are honest, responsible and compassionate.

“This is my vision for Johor and I will make it come true,” he said in a statement on his official Facebook page here on Tuesday (December 29), after attending the opening ceremony of the second TMIYC, to be built in Muar.

He added that TMIYC Muar is his idea and vision to strengthen youth development by having a youth center in each district of Johor.

“TMIYC Muar will have various facilities for the benefit of young people and will be the focal point for personal development and group activities.

“In the future, the youth community of Muar and nearby districts would not need to travel very far to enjoy facilities such as a fully synthetic soccer field, an extreme sports venue, futsal pitches and dormitories for short stays,” he said.

This second TMIYC comes immediately after the TMIYC Johor Baru who had also officiated on December 21. It is located in Hutan Bandar, on a 6.07ha site near the city center, with 11 facilities.

These include the Pump Track, Canopy Walk, Youth Center, Mountain Bike Trail, Chill Pods, Rock Yard, Parkour Park, Kiddo Ground, and Skatepro.

Meanwhile, Tunku Ismail also announced that he had made a contribution of RM300,000 for poor students from 96 villages around Muar.

“I hope the assistance helps them meet their educational needs,” he said.
