MALAYSIA’s third wave of Covid-19 infections, stemming from Sabah and Kedah, is becoming more challenging as some groups in these states have encountered a more infectious strain of the coronavirus, Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.

“The third wave will be more challenging as the laboratory of the Institute for Medical Research has confirmed that the groups in Sabah and Kedah have the D614G strain, which can spread easily and be highly infectious,” said the director general of health.
