Good news for moviegoers waiting to see it Wonder Woman 1984 on the big screen.
GSC Cinemas and MBO Cinemas have confirmed to StarLifestyle that they will reopen their theaters on December 16, the day the DC superhero film is scheduled to open in Malaysia.
However, cinemas will be operational only in locations that are under the recovery motion control order (RMCO).
Other theaters located in districts still undergoing conditional MCO will be closed.
GSC reported that it would open at nine locations in Malaysia on December 16, from 6pm onwards.
GSC cinemas operating locations are Aman Central, Kedah; Gurney Plaza, Penang; Sunway Carnival Mall, Penang; Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka; AEON City, Melaka; Alamanda, Putrajaya; Mentakab Star Shopping Center, Pahang; and CityOne Megamall, Kuching, Sarawak.
Meanwhile, MBO spokesperson said that its cinemas located in Kedah, Melaka, Johor, Pahang and Sarawak under RMCO will be operational from December 16 onwards, except for districts under CMCO like Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru in Johor, and Kulim in Kedah, they won’t. still open its doors.
