KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Members of the public may meet or participate in a meeting for Aidilfitri, Pesta Kaamatan and Hari Gawai Dayak during the conditional movement control order period subject to the instructions of the director general of Health.

This is established in Regulation 7 (2) (a) of the Federal Government Gazette on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) (No. 6) Regulation 2020 published on the website of the Chamber from the Attorney General yesterday. .

Regulation 7 (1) established that “no person shall participate or participate in any procession meeting, whether for economic, religious, educational and learning, sports, recreational, social or cultural purposes.”

However, subregulation (2) under Regulation 7 stated that “despite subregulation (1), a person may meet or participate in a meeting – (a) for Hari Raya Puasa, Pesta Kaamatan and Hari Gawai Dayak, subject to the instructions of the Director-General, or (b) for a funeral, provided that the attendance at said funeral does not exceed 20. “

The gazette that was signed by the Minister of Health, Datuk Seri, Dr. Adham Baba, declared that the Regulations are in force for the period from May 13 to June 9, 2020.

It also indicated that any person driving a private vehicle should not carry more than three passengers and said passengers must remain in the same house as the driver.

The Regulation also states that no person is permitted to carry out, organize, undertake, or participate in any prohibited activity, which may cause a crowd to congregate in areas that have been declared infected areas under Infectious Disease Prevention and Control. (Declaration of infected local areas) Order 2020.

Among the prohibited activities are entertainment, leisure, sports and recreation; pubs and discos; religious, cultural and artistic festivities; deal; game; placing clothes in clothing stores or trying on fashion accessories in stores; services in hairdressers and beauty salons; filming of movies, dramas, documentaries and commercials; as well as cruise and tourism activities.

Regulation 6 (1) stated that no person may move from an infected place to another infected place, except to and from work.

These Regulations also establish that a member of the Parliament or the State Assembly may attend a session of the Parliament or the State Assembly, respectively.

For public transportation, the holder of any land, sea, or air public transportation license or permit to carry passengers must ensure that the public transportation related to the license or permit carries more than half of the total maximum passenger capacity for each trip.

Meanwhile, drivers of rental cars, taxis, airport taxis, limousine taxis, or electronic transport vehicles cannot carry more than two passengers per trip.

In the case of public air transport to Sabah or Sarawak from Peninsular Malaysia and vice versa, the Regulation establishes that the owner of public air transport must ensure that the vehicle does not carry more than 66.6 percent of the maximum load allowed for each scheduled flight.

It also stated that the license or permit holder of any public air transport can transport the maximum passenger capacity for each scheduled flight from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah or Sarawak.

The holder of any public air transport license or permit to carry passengers may also carry the maximum total passenger capacity for each journey of an unscheduled flight from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah or Sarawak, where all passengers are returning Peninsular Malaysia students Sabah or Sarawak.

Anyone who violates any provision of these Regulations may be subject to a fine not exceeding RM1,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or both. – Bernama
