“The Married World” Beats “SKY Castle” to Set New Record for Highest Drama Ratings in Cable TV History

JTBC’s “The Married World” has officially made Korean drama history!

On May 2, “The World of the Married” set a new record for the highest audience ratings ever achieved for any drama in the history of Korea’s cable network.

According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of the hit drama garnered an average rating of 24.33 percent across the country, breaking the previous record of 23.78 percent reached by the end of JTBC’s “SKY Castle” in 2019.

After this new record, the only cable TV show to have achieved higher ratings than “The Married World” is the hit TV show Chosun “Mister Trot”, which peaked with a rating. 35.7 percent average in March.

With four episodes yet to go, it remains to be seen whether “The World of the Married” will be able to break its own record with even higher ratings in its last two weeks.
