JOHOR BARU (Bernama): Shazrin Hafeez Fadzlan, 26-year-old City Council Parking Control Officer (MBJB), says that viral CCTV footage of him running to the rescue of a female robbery victim and fighting the thief have brought luck to your burger stand business.
He said business has never been better since he opened his stand at Jalan Anggerik 40, Taman Johor Jaya three years ago with people eager to buy his burgers like last night.
“I sell hamburgers for additional income from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and they usually sell between 60 and 70 per night, but yesterday the sales increased to more than 200 hamburgers.
“I did not expect the video to go viral so quickly on social media, but I am grateful for the public’s support. I would not hesitate to respond in the same way again if it helps society,” Shazrin said when contacted on Thursday (3 of September).
The event happened around noon on September 1, while I was touring Jalan Austin Height 8/9 in Taman Mount Austin checking if parking had been paid for.
“When I turned to see where the cries for help were coming from, I saw the thief fall off his motorcycle while trying to escape.
“Without much thought, I ran towards the thief to try to catch him. It was automatic, the risks did not cross my mind.
“Fortunately, there were members of the public who also came to help catch the thief,” said Shazrin, who sustained minor injuries to his right hand during the fight with the thief. – Bernama
