BANGKOK (The Nation): The Cabinet has removed nationality restrictions for long-stay tourists and tourists traveling by yachts, as well as their crews who can enter Thailand under the Special Tourist Visa (STV), the deputy spokesperson of the government. With the announcement of the gazette, STV’s policy goes into effect from October 1 to September 30, 2021.

Therefore, the Cabinet agreed to remove nationality restrictions for tourists applying for STV, as well as to extend the period during which tourists and / or yachts would be inspected and approved to enter Thailand at immigration checkpoints during 30 days, in order to allow more qualified tourists to enter the kingdom and promote tourism.
