TDM Says CEO Zainal Abidin Resigned Over Disagreement With President

KUALA LUMPUR: TDM Bhd plantation company He said CEO Zainal Abidin Shariff resigned, citing disagreement with his president on issues related to the company’s palm oil business activities.

Zainal submitted his resignation letter on Thursday with immediate effect, the company told Bursa Malaysia in a presentation today.

The company cited “disagreement with the company president on business contract issues, practices and consultations related to its subsidiary’s palm oil business activities” as the cause of its departure.

“The company accepted on November 27 the resignation letter from Zainal Abidin as CEO of the company group dated November 26,” TDM said.

The company said it will name an interim candidate as the successor to the position.

“The board is taking appropriate steps to find a suitable interim candidate to assume the duties, functions and responsibilities of the company’s Group CEO and will make the appropriate announcement in due course,” he said.
