Tacit approval from PBS, Star for designated PAS representative

PAS thanks PBS, Star for giving the designated Sabah representative a chance

Vijay47: It is strange that the PAS beacon and the party’s general secretary, Takiyuddin Hassan, chose to thank PBS and Star when other parties in their coalition individually have more seats: Umno has 14 and Bersatu 13.

One possibility is that PAS, having achieved its infiltration goal, is gleefully rubbing the faces of the two native groups deep into the Sabah mud, knowing full well that PBS and Star simply don’t have the courage to do anything about what awaits them. . they, a certainty, would have been very aware of considering the PAS ‘contributions’ in the Peninsula.

The other possibility is that the PAS is really grateful, as both parties could have opposed the appointment of the Sabah PAS secretary, Aliakbar Gulasan, in which case his seat in the Sabah state assembly would not have been approved. However, the Kitingan brothers did not. They continued to play their subordinate role in Sabah, a state with which they seem extremely comfortable.

In the position they have adopted, we see the true functioning of the traitorous parties; PBS President Maximus Ongkili opposes the presence of a “Malaya-based religious party in the Assembly”. But having said that, accept the position as it is now a done deal and will act as check and balance.

What kind of leadership integrity is that? Below we’ll hear about them welcoming a snake with the Covid virus into their home, but don’t worry bro, we’ll be a check and a balance.

Star President Jeffrey Kitingan is all smiles. Hey, the PAS agent is a great guy!

Business first: In a previous comment, he had predicted this would happen. Star and PBS would do a song and dance before the appointment of a PAS representative. After being ignored, as expected, they sing a different tune about how they hope to work with PAS and dispel the “fear” of PAS.

Can the new PAS representative condemn the “distorted” Bible? commentary by one of his party mates?

Why did the Semenanjung parties dictate this decision? After all, Sabah is supposed to have autonomy. However, Perikatan Nasional (PN) is completely controlled from Putrajaya.

Once again, the worst enemies of the Kadazan-Dusun-Murut (KDM) community are their own leaders who sell them all the time. However, these leaders are continually voted on.

Well, you have the leaders and the government of your choice. Sadly, after 60 years, many have not learned that they benefit from the few hundred ringgit spent on them during the campaign only to be stripped of their hundreds of thousands over the next five years.

JusticeNow: What they say or the reasons they give have no weight. They don’t even dare to object, they just call it “unlucky” and even “are eager to work with PAS.”

The fact that Takiyuddin has pointed to PBS and Star to thank them betrays the truth of the matter; that these two parties have given their tacit approval to the appointment despite their previous public statements.

Even his prepared responses betrayed his approval, which focused on Aliakbar rather than PAS, a divisive party that sponsors and abuses Islam to further its goals.

It is a well known fact that PAS was never able to win a seat in Sabah or Sarawak despite trying for decades. Hopefully, those who voted for them will be able to see the selfish and servile character of these two parties.

This may even be the coup de grace for the once powerful PBS, reduced to a petty and petty party that won a few seats through lies and local personalities.

Kim Quek: Star and PBS’s words of disapproval of the appointment of a PAS leader in the state assembly are clearly intended to mitigate the severe backlash from their constituency, the KDM community, which was instrumental in propelling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to power. in recent Sabah state polls.

These Kadazan leaders, more than anyone, know that the exclusivist Islamist PAS (now aggravated by its racism) under the leadership of its president, Abdul Hadi Awang, is strongly detested by their community.

But, on the other hand, opportunists like the frog prince Kitingan would risk nothing in the world to lose their current cabinet positions. So what other option do they have besides superficially opposing the decision of the prime minister who is from Bersatu?

As for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and his Bersatu party, they are very happy to do PAS a favor, as the latter is now their strategic partner to ward off the increasingly discontent Umno in the great zero-sum game of Bersatu-PAS. -Um no. triangle, now doubtfully located under the same roof as Muafakat Nasional.

Interesting things are coming up in current Malaysian politics, which are clearly changing.

CH Y: It would not be a problem if the PAS policy is based on good governance and universal morality and humanity.

Instead, they expect their followers to follow the lead of leaders on most important matters in the name that doing so is obeying “God’s will” (or is that their will?). Not following or questioning your leaders is invariably a no-no like questioning your faith.

Can they mix good leadership with strong and mature governance in respecting diversity and minority rights and that people have different cultures and social norms about food / dress / celebrations / sports activities / evening socializing and how we interact or do we communicate or express affection in an Asian? society?

Or is your end game getting enough adherents to follow the leadership trail to vote for whoever the leaders nominate regardless of leadership and governance issues in a mixed society?

Aliakbar is just a man. Look at the whole party leadership mentality behind him and how they interact in Malaysia and perhaps Sabah in due course. If there are a million Aliakbars in PAS, of course it would be a different story.

Sadly, there is only one, and the dangers of what can happen in a polarized society cannot be covered up.

I am Sabahan: It is not about giving PAS a chance in multicultural Sabah; it is about the party’s past behavior in Peninsular Malaysia and how it plays with issues of race and religion to enhance its political dominance.

Why should we give you a chance? I did not vote for the current regime. I accept that the coalition I voted for did not get enough seats to form the government.

But we will monitor them closely, and if they do not perform well and adopt policies that are against our people, we will get more support from our other Sabahan brothers and sisters in the next general election.

Anonymous: Sabahans must remember who those politicians are who brought the PAS into state administration and reject them in the next elections. These are the politicians responsible for jeopardizing the racial harmony of the state just for their own self-interest.

Sabahans have made it very clear that they reject PAS leaders, but the current state government, by appointing a PAS leader, indicates that they are prepared to ignore the voice of the people who want racial and religious harmony.

Oriole: Ongkili and Kitingan, the barking dogs rarely bite. Their pathetic protests are pointless in the attack on the Peninsula and the unwanted parties rushing to seize their impoverished state.

This kind of weakness will have serious repercussions for generations of Sabahans. Your legacy will be one of weak appeasement. Who benefits?
