STOCKHOLM: Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden (pix), next in line to the Swedish throne, and her husband, Prince Daniel (pix) tested positive for the new coronavirus, the royal court said on Thursday.

“Crown Princess and Prince Daniel show mild symptoms, but feel good considering the circumstances,” the Swedish court said in a statement, adding that the couple were in quarantine with their two children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar.

As crown princess, Victoria, 43, is next in line to the Swedish throne currently held by her father, King Carlos XVI Gustav.

Both King and Queen Silvia have been vaccinated.
