JOHOR BARU: The Ruling Sultan of Johor Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has advised people in the state to be on the alert due to the flood situation.
His Majesty decreed that the state government, together with the relevant departments and agencies, channel appropriate aid to people seeking refuge in relief centers.
“There has been an increase in flood victims due to heavy rains and many temporary help centers have been opened in many districts.
“We must remind everyone that they must take care of their safety and health to prevent the spread of disease,” His Majesty said in a statement posted yesterday on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page.
Sultan Ibrahim also reminded residents, particularly those in high-risk areas, to be careful and always follow the directive of the authorities to leave their homes during floods.
His Majesty decreed that those planning to travel should plan their trip well to avoid routes that were submerged in water.
“Due to the current weather conditions, the rakyat must be careful and make the necessary plans. Let us pray together to ensure that everything recovers soon, ”Sultan Ibrahim said.
