KUALA LUMPUR: All travelers who were stranded after landslides cut the road from Raub to Bukit Fraser were allowed to continue their journey.

One of the victims, Mohd Ariff Amri, 37, said he managed to obtain his vehicle at 11:30 a.m. before returning to his home in Shah Alam.

Yesterday, 13 vehicles were reportedly trapped between the two landslides, and Mohd Ariff and his family members were among the 32 adults and eight children who were evacuated back to Fraser’s Hill on foot crossing the obstructed area.

Raub District Police Chief Superintendent Kama Azural Mohamed said the 13 vehicles had turned off on the road towards Kuala Kubu Bharu. The road to Raub remains closed, he said.

However, 10 adults and five children who were evacuated from the Jeriau Waterfall camp have not yet taken their vehicles because the road leading there is still in the process of being cleared.
