SHAH ALAM: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has expressed concern about the increase in Covid-19 cases, particularly in the state, where two new groups were reported today.

He urged those with symptoms or who have just returned from risk areas to immediately undergo screening tests and comply with the mandatory quarantine order.

Concerned about people who had become less attentive to the threat of the pandemic, Sultan Sharafuddin called on all sectors to always observe and not take lightly the standard operating procedures established by the government.

The Sultan advised Selangor’s 6.5 million residents to stay home and not go out unnecessarily into crowded public places.

The health ministry said today that there were 31 new cases in Selangor, almost half of which had a history of travel to Sabah: 13 were returnees from high-risk areas in Sabah; 8 were in the new Seri Anggerik group, 3 in the Jalan Meru group and 4 in the new Seri Setia group in Gombak.
