Song Hye Kyo and screenwriter Kim Eun Sook are reuniting for a new drama!
On January 5, Ilgan Sports quoted an industry source as stating, “Screenwriter Kim Eun Sook is preparing a drama that will begin filming in the second half of the year. It will air at the end of the year at the earliest or in the first half of next year at the latest. Song Hye Kyo was cast in the lead role. “The drama will be co-produced by Hwa & Dam Pictures and Studio Dragon and is reportedly in the casting production stage currently.
A source from Studio Dragon confirmed to YTN Star, “Song Hye Kyo will be starring in screenwriter Kim Eun Sook’s new drama as the female lead.” A source from Hwa & Dam Pictures has also confirmed that Song Hye Kyo will be appearing in Kim Eun Sook’s new drama.
According to Ilgan Sports, PD (producing director) Ahn Gil Ho will direct the drama. Notable works by PD Ahn Gil Ho include the first season of “Forest of Secrets”, “Memories of the Alhambra”, “Watcher” and “Record of Youth”.
Song Hye Kyo previously appeared in Kim Eun Sook’s 2016 drama “Descendants of the Sun,” which was a huge success.
