Some Wolves fans respond to Jota’s four-word Liverpool tweet – HITC

Well Diogo Jota is officially a Liverpool player, but Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are not happy at all.

It’s not because he left Molineux to join the Premier League champions, because the opportunity to join Liverpool is too tempting for most players to turn down.

No, it’s because the 23-year-old didn’t say goodbye to the Wolves fans.

Jota posted a photo of himself in a Liverpool jersey on Twitter, but his last post on social media before that came on September 6.

The Portugal international spent a total of three years at Wanderers.

I didn’t say goodbye, but I disagree with him being abused because he makes us look salty at the end of the day, we got a respectable rate, I feel sad that he left on bad terms after all, but leave him alone.

Do Wolves fans have a legitimate problem? Perhaps.

Earlier in the day, there was another transfer between the two clubs, as Ki-Jana Hoever left Anfield to join Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.

The 18-year-old Dutchman did not even appear in the Premier League with the Reds and yet posted a lengthy tribute and thanks to the Merseyside club on Instagram.

After all, football is nothing without the supporters, and therefore it could be argued that Jota should probably have recognized those who chanted his name for the past three years.
