Solskjaer praises Bailly and Tuanzebe’s performances against Everton

It was a great night for Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly against Everton last night.

Both defenders have had their injury issues this season, which has meant their seasons haven’t really started.

Bailly made his first start since a 6-1 loss to Tottenham in October and was commanding on a clean sheet for Manchester United.

Tuanzebe was out of position on the right back, opposite Richarlison, but he impressed both on defense and on attack.

Speaking to the club’s official website after the match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer chose the pair to receive well-deserved praise.

“The players know that we trust them,” Solskjaer said. “We have a great squad and everyone has to step up at different times of the season.

“It’s a great game for players who haven’t played in a while, Axel [Tuanzebe] for example and Eric [Bailly]They haven’t played for a while. They did really well! “

The fact that both men exceeded 90 minutes was a huge boost for Solskjaer. It came at the perfect time with the games at Christmas.

What both men offer is rhythm. Neither Victor Lindelof nor Harry Maguire are the fastest to cross the ground.

That can affect United’s ability to defend at the top of the field, and Bailly and Tuanzebe’s pace of recovery could really make a difference on United’s bottom line.

Now, as has been said so many times before, the key for both men is to stay in shape. They deserve better luck with injuries.

Opportunities should come up during the holiday period, especially since Lindelof has been handling a back injury all season. With this evidence, they will take them.
