PETALING JAYA: Two agencies ordered to investigate email operator for disobeying rules, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (Photo).

The Transport Minister said he was made to understand that the email operator in Sandakan had not complied with the regulation set by the government.

“I would like to emphasize that all email drivers need a valid vocational driver’s license (PSV).

“I have instructed the Department of Highway Transportation (JPJ) and the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) in Sabah to carry out an investigation immediately.

“Any game that goes against the rules can face action,” he said in a Facebook post on Saturday (September 19).

Dr. Wee said he had a dialogue session with about 30 electronic call leads at Sandakan on Friday (September 18).

Ayer Hitam’s MP said he was open and willing to listen to any views or complaints from the electronic call drivers, especially regarding their well-being.

During the dialogue, he said that many email drivers expressed their difficulties in dealing with JPJ and CVLB in the state regarding registration.

“I will instruct the ministry to streamline the Sabah CVLB registrations together with JPJ to make it easier,” he added.

He said that he would also have a dialogue session with the Sabah Taxi Association to hear their complaints and suggestions.
