SABAH SURVEYS | Scorching heat and stricter Covid-19 prevention protocols marked the start of voting at N58 Lamag and many other 73-seat polling stations in Sabah today.

However, the head of Sabah Umno, Bung Moktar Radin, expressed confidence that all eligible voters will be able to exercise their rights at the polls.

“Although the process is slow, it is still moving forward.

“We take note that in this situation where we are faced with Covid-19, we need to practice the established standard operating procedure,” Bung said when meeting outside SMK Bukit Garam, Kinabatangan, one of the six polling stations in Lamag.

“I am confident that all eligible voters will be able to (exercise) their right to vote today.

“I thank all the officials on duty, the Electoral Commission (EC), the health officials and others who work hard to ensure that all voters can vote,” he added.
