KUALA LUMPUR: The creative industry will be able to operate under strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) starting Wednesday (February 10).
Chief Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the six industry sectors that will be allowed are: animation and music production; studio-based post-production; musical development through digital channels; recording of songs in studio; pre-production shoot; and studio filming that encompasses dramas, television movies, commercials, documentaries, sitcoms, live broadcasts, as well as cultural, artistic, and heritage recordings, without an audience.
“Production companies must apply for Finas Special Filming Certification (SPP), which contains the list of names of the production team for studio filming.
“Health screenings must be performed on all crew members involved in filming and the results must be shown to Finas three days before filming.
“The issuance of the SPP is subject to the results of the evaluations. Only crew members are allowed to pass the evaluations,” he told a news conference on Tuesday (February 9).
Face-to-face auditions are not allowed, as they must be conducted over the Internet or through video presentations, he added.
“The operating hours are from 8 to 22 hours.
“All members of the crem must follow the SOP, especially maintaining physical distance.
“For a more detailed SOP, check out the National Security Council (NSC) website,” Ismail Sabri said.
