Singer Jason Lo, accused CBT colleague in Sessions Court

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Singer Jason Jonathan Lo and his colleague pleaded not guilty on Tuesday (September 1) in Sessions Court here on a charge of breach of trust of money belonging to a record company amounting to more than RM200 , 000 last year.

Jason Lo, better known as “Lo” ‘or “J Lo”, 45, and Muhammad Yakub Hussaini, 47, both directors of Fat Boys Records Sdn Bhd, who were entrusted with company money worth RM 232,500, allegedly committed a breach of trust by fraudulently using money for personal use.

They pleaded not guilty after the charges against them were read before Session Court Judge Datin Sabariah Othman.

The two men were charged with committing the crime at the company, here in Mont Kiara, on April 24 and May 14, 2019, under Section 409 of the Penal Code read in conjunction with Section 34 of the Penal Code, which establishes a maximum prison sentence. 20-year sentence and spanking, as well as a fine in case of conviction.

Deputy Prosecutor Noorhani Muhmmed Ayub prosecuted, while attorney Alfred Chong represented the two defendants.

The court granted the two defendants bail of RM30,000 each and set October 2 for the case to be mentioned for the production of documents.

In November of last year, Lo was also charged in Magistrates Court here with breaking into a home and using methamphetamine.

He also pleaded not guilty to both charges. – Bernama
