Singaporean citizen Bink (last name withheld), 26, and Indonesian citizen Aiden (last name withheld), 32, were arrested at a condominium in the Sutthisan area of ​​Huay Khwang district by officers from the Patrol and Special Operations Division. , also known as Police 191.

Police said they received a tip about illegal gun dealers, leading to a red Mercedes-Benz car owned by one of the suspects. The license plate and registration turned out to be false.

According to reports, the police found seven pistols, 584 bullets, an M67 grenade, a KM18 smoke grenade and two explosive flashes in his room.

The suspects reportedly confessed that they sold weapons and explosives to foreign customers through the Line and WeChat apps, while the customers paid in bitcoin.

After the arrest, the police discovered that a customer in Singapore had just called Bink’s phone and ordered him to destroy the weapons in exchange for a 100,000 baht (S $ 4,350) fee.

Investigation of the suspects’ travel history revealed that they had entered Thailand on student visas in 2019 and had been renting the room since June at 13,000 baht per month.

They were charged with possessing and selling weapons and explosives without a license, while Bink was also charged with falsifying official government documents for the car he owns.
