Several banks announce scheduled maintenance throughout this week

Banks like Maybank, Public Bank, CIMB and others have recently revealed that certain services will suffer brief interruptions due to scheduled maintenance during the course of the week. In separate announcements, the banks explained that they will update their banking services on different dates and times, and some will take place before and even during the next 10.10 promotions.

Maybank revealed on Twitter that it would carry out scheduled maintenance of various services this Friday, October 9, 2020 from 11:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. According to the bank, online services through its Maybank2u website and app will be impacted, including online payments, wire transfers, QR Pay and Wealth. It noted that offline services, such as debit card transactions, ATMs, and automatic check deposit, will also not be available within the aforementioned time.

Public Bank issued a notice on its official website stating that its PBe, PB Engage and PB Enterprise will be temporarily unavailable tomorrow, October 8. The bank indicated that these services will undergo system maintenance from 12 am to 4 am on the aforementioned date.

Bank Rakyat, on the other hand, tweeted that its banking services will be interrupted due to maintenance that will begin at 4 p.m. on October 9 and is scheduled to end at 12 p.m. on October 12. The bank noted that its Kredit-i service would not be affected during that time. He also recommended that customers plan their transactions in advance to avoid any inconvenience, as well as keep an eye on their social media accounts for any updates during the maintenance period.

Meanwhile, HSBC announced that maintenance work will begin on October 10 from 1 am to 7 am. The bank’s maintenance program revealed that debit card online transaction services will be affected during that period.

According to a report from The Star, CIMB began maintenance work for its Clicks services this morning at 2 am, which already finished at 2 pm this afternoon. The services that were affected include bill payment and debit card recharge, as well as prepaid and credit card related transaction services. RHB also underwent maintenance for its banking services over the weekend from 12am to 9am on October 3 and October 4, 2020.
