Air Selangor reported a temporary interruption of the water supply after the Sungai Selangor Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and Rantau Panjang water treatment plants (WTP) were closed due to contamination.

“The affected users are expected to receive water supply from 3:00 pm today in stages with a full recovery tomorrow at 11:59 pm,” Air Selangor said in a statement.

It said that the closure of the water treatment plants caused an unscheduled interruption of the water supply involving 886,297 accounts.
